Huawei has significant presence all over the world and is constantly expanding. It has 20 R&D institutes in Germany, Sweden, India, Russia , China and America.

Stockholders and Employees :

The CEO Mr.Ren Zhengfei of Huawei holds a mere 1.42 % share of the company,the rest 98.56% belongs to the employees.In 2009 out of 95,000 employees 65% of those ( 61,457) hold company shares [9].Dividends are payed to employees along with Huawei's incentives. Employees cannot buy the shares but are allocated the shares based on their annual performance.The employees are supposed to return the shares when they leave the company and the shares are bought at the current rates. The shares are distributed by the Shenzhen Huawei Investment and Holdings co Ltd. Huawei Technology Co Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shenzhen Huawei Investment and Holdings co Ltd
